This Privacy Policy explains how BG CONSTRUCTION SERVICES LTD (“the Company”) handles information in connection with the Constructbg Building application (the “App”). The App is a local-first domestic building reconciliation notebook that helps users compare an expected stage set against actual notes, photos, and evidence stored on the device, and produce an informational gap-and-resolution summary.

Local App Data

The App stores information locally on your Android device. This includes multiple local notebooks (with metadata, expected-set selections, and custom expected items), local notes, local photos and file references, local reconciliation state flags (Confirmed, Missing, or Uncertain), local saved exports and copied summaries, local summary snapshots, and local evidence docket content (such as imported photos, document thumbnails, and notes).

This local content is not automatically transmitted to the Company as part of the core workflow. The App does not require login or account registration, and it does not use cloud synchronisation or store your data on Company servers.

On-Device Storage

All app content is stored within the App’s own storage on your device. You can create, edit, and delete this content at any time through the App’s controls. If you remove the App or clear its local data through Android device settings, this local content is removed from the device.

The App does not provide any service that automatically transmits your local content to the Company or any third party.

Export and User-Initiated Actions

The App may allow you to export, copy, or share locally generated summaries and other content using Android system actions. This occurs only when you choose to do so, and any exported files remain wherever you save or share them.

The App may also open external services when you select certain actions, such as opening a website in a browser or composing an email. These external services operate under their own privacy practices, which are separate from this policy.

What the App Does Not Include

The App does not include login or account registration, payment processing, subscriptions, or monetisation features. The core workflow is local to the device, and the App does not automatically transmit local content to the developer.

Important Use Notice

The App is a local planning and reconciliation tool for domestic building information. It is not a substitute for professional advice, approvals, or inspections. Outputs are based on user-entered observations and are intended for informational and practical review purposes only. They are not professional, legal, financial, insurance, or regulatory advice, and they do not constitute certification or sign-off.

The App is not a substitute for formal professional, legal, regulatory, safety, or certification processes. Users remain responsible for their own decisions and for complying with applicable requirements.

Retention

Local review data remains on the device until you delete it, clear local app data, or uninstall the application. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.

Security

Local app content is kept within the application’s own storage on the device and is not held on Company servers. Protecting the device itself — for example with the screen lock you configure — remains with you.

Your Rights

If you are located in the UK or the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances. These rights apply where personal data is processed and, where applicable, under data protection law.

Because the App is local-first and does not transmit your local content to the developer, any locally stored data can generally be managed directly on your device or by uninstalling the application.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The Company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such information is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or address the situation.

Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the revision date at the top of this document will be updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
